Happy Halloween and Day of the Dead

On behalf of the Seamstress Guild, I would like to wish all who celebrate the holidays this time of year a happy Halloween, a memorable Day of the Dead, a lovely All Saints Day, a blessed Samhain and a joyful Diwali.

Did I forget anything?

For our friends in Australia and other places where it is spring, please tailor these good wishes to include bunnies, scrumble and suchlike.

All good things,

dj

NADWCon 2013: It Comes Down To Boston or Baltimore

Greetings all. Here is the latest
on NADWCon Bids:

It comes down to Baltimore or Boston for NADWCon 2013.
Boston has requested another week to finish hotel negotiations.  The rest of their paperwork is due in today.   Baltimore submitted their bid paperwork but they have been granted an extra week, as well, to make additions and changes, if needed.

The GoC voted to add an additional week on to our deliberations to compensate for the delay and give us time to discuss this amongst ourselves and with our consulting body and allow us to hear from the fans. Therefore, the final decision will be announced on November 30th.  (1)

More info to come.

Terry Pratchett on the BBC, talking about writing and SNUFF

Lovely video interview with Terry on the BBC. Enjoy.
"Being diagnosed with a rare form of Alzheimer's in 2007 has not stopped author Terry Pratchett from writing and releasing his 50th novel, Snuff.

He spoke to BBC Breakfast about the book and how his illness has changed his method of writing."

Update: Drumknott can file this under, Congrats and No Surprise: Snuff is now on the U.S. Bestseller List
